Following the regulations of the Ginger Quill Ranch is crucial for preserving wildlife and their habitats while still allowing for the joy of sport. It ensures a sustainable and ethical use of the resources for future generations to enjoy.

Fishing

In stocked fisheries, please use flies and artificial lures only, as no live bait is allowed. Additionally, only single barbless hooks are permitted to minimize harm to the fish. Each shareholder is allowed to keep up to four fish per year. Anglers agree to pay $25 for each fish they keep over the limit of four. Finally, catch-and-release is strongly encouraged on the river. After all, the modest rainbow you release this year might grow to be a trophy in the season to come.

These regulations are necessary to protect our fish stocks and ensure a sustainable and healthy ecosystem.

Report Back!

Whether you hooked a trophy trout or just a story-worthy 'the one that got away,' we want to hear all the details! Our lakes are filled with adventures waiting to be reeled in, and your catch can help us keep track of what’s biting, where, and on what. Plus, one of our shareholders—a bona fide marine biologist—is eager to geek out over your fishing exploits.

So, tell us:

  • What did you catch?

  • Where in the lake did you reel it in?

  • When did you make the big catch?

  • And what fly or lure sealed the deal?

Every tale (and tally) helps keep our waters thriving and full of surprises. So drop us a line — pun totally intended!
